Russian strike on Slavutych: Chernobyl left without electricity

According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the strike on the power substation in the city of Slavutych. As a result of this strike, there was a prolonged inspection of the facilities at the Chernobyl nuclear power station. Zelensky emphasized that this attack was aimed at halting the operations of the ChNPP.
«The Russians used over 20 drones to inflict damage on Chernobyl, particularly the new shelter and storage for spent nuclear fuel. This was a strike with a specific purpose, aimed at complicating the protection of the facility», - explained the president.
As a result of the attack by Russian troops, damage was inflicted on facilities that are vital for safety in the Chernobyl zone. This incident highlights the serious consequences of war for infrastructure and the environment.
