Occupants are implementing church-military education: how children in TOT are forced to study the Russian world
Participants of the seminar 'Basics of Orthodox Culture in School: Given and Required' in Snizhne, which is under occupation, discussed the upbringing of spirituality and patriotism through faith and promoted the ideas of the 'Russian world'. Some of the speeches were planned in advance to avoid pro-Ukrainian views. Representatives of the National Resistance Center emphasized the formation of a hybrid system of 'church-military education' in the occupied territories, where clergy perform the role of political instructors, and religious lessons become a tool of propaganda. Not only that, but in kindergartens, the occupants are introducing classes on 'language development' to instill the Russian language in children from an early age, gradually pushing Ukrainian words out. There are also plans to create a youth Stakhanovite movement in Luhansk region, which will force students to gain practical experience in enterprises and participate in pseudo-competitions, implementing Soviet practices.
