In Hungary, teenagers recruited via Telegram bombed a Ukrainian school: details of the case
According to glavcom.ua: A Ukrainian school in Budapest became the target of bomb threats that caused serious panic among students. Olena Beskorovayna, co-founder of the first bilingual secondary school and gymnasium in Budapest, reported that threat letters arrived via Telegram, and the school had to strengthen security and involve the police.
«There were times when messages would arrive twice a day: we receive a letter about a bomb threat, we call the police, evacuate all the children, the police check 2,800 sq. m. of the school with a dog and says that everything is clear, and children can return as soon as the next letter arrives...»
«And it partly worked, as some parents wanted to pick up their children from school. It was a stress for everyone. We have strengthened security measures at the school...»
It turned out that the boy believed to be the mastermind behind the bomb threats is currently under investigation. He was receiving payment for the letters in cryptocurrency, and his group consisted of 12 teenagers. The National Bureau of Investigation is conducting a case regarding this 'terrorist activity' for the sake of the country's and minors' safety.
The police also recorded attempts by Russian special services to recruit Ukrainian teenagers to commit offenses on the territory of Ukraine, emphasizing the threat to the country's security.
