SBU attacked a key Russian oil port: daily losses for the Russian Federation $41 million

Russian port Primorsk halted oil exports
Служба безпеки України завдала удару по стратегічному об'єкту російської нафтової інфраструктури, завдавши значних економічних збитків.

The Security Service of Ukraine launched drones that struck the Russian oil loading port 'Primorsk' on the Baltic Sea. This port is key for the Russian 'shadow fleet' that helps Moscow circumvent international sanctions. The attack resulted in fires on the vessel and at the pumping station, leading to a halt in oil shipments.

The consequences of this operation could lead to daily losses for the Russian budget of around $41 million. It is worth noting that the port 'Primorsk' handles approximately 60 million tons of oil per year, which brings Russia about $15 billion in revenue.

The SBU was the first to systematically introduce so-called drone sanctions against the Russian oil sector. They cut off the flow of oil dollars into the aggressor's budget.

SBU drones also struck the oil pumping stations NPS-3, NPS 'Andreapol', and NPS-7, which are important parts of the pipeline system that delivers oil to the Ust-Luga terminal port. These strikes became possible due to the implementation of drone sanctions.

As a result, the losses for Russia may reach significant scales, and could severely damage Russian economic plans and financial capabilities.
