Senhit to Represent San Marino at Eurovision 2026

According to Главком: San Marino has chosen the artist Senhit to compete at the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna with her song Superstar. The selection was made through the national final, San Marino Song Contest 2026. This will mark Senhit's fourth appearance at the contest, having previously performed in 2011 and 2021. The Eurovision stage is a major international platform for artists from across Europe and beyond.

The singer, whose full name is Senhit Zadik Zadik, was born in Bologna and has released four albums over her music career. She made her Eurovision debut in 2011 with the song Stand By, and in 2021 she placed 22nd with Adrenalina. Her new entry, Superstar, was recorded in collaboration with the renowned British musician Boy George, the frontman of Culture Club.

The National Final and Other Competitors

The final of the San Marino Song Contest 2026 was held at the Nuovo Teatro di Dogana in Dogana, hosted by Italian TV presenter Simona Ventura. Broadcaster RTV San Marino received over 800 submissions, from which twenty artists progressed to the semi-finals. Ultimately, 21 acts from 13 countries competed in the final, with the winner decided by a professional five-member jury.

Beyond her Eurovision entries, Senhit has performed in musicals including Fame, The Lion King, and Hair in Switzerland and Germany. She is listed as a solo artist on the official Eurovision website. Notably, the 2020 contest, for which Senhit had been selected, was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a significant event in the competition's history.

Other notable artists set for Eurovision 2026 include:

  • Sal Da Vinci, who will represent Italy with the song Per sempre sì
  • 17-year-old singer Monroe, who will perform for France

In the San Marino Song Contest 2026 final, Senhit's Superstar claimed first place, finishing ahead of competitors such as Kelly Joyce with Oh Là Là, Paolo Belli with Bellissima, Inis Neziri with In My Head, and Maya Azucena with My Sin.

Senhit's Eurovision journey can be summarized as follows: Eurovision 2011 (debut), Selected for Eurovision 2020 (cancelled), Eurovision 2021 (22nd place), Eurovision 2026 (upcoming participation).

Senhit's return to the Eurovision stage in 2026 underscores her enduring presence and determination in the competition. Given her past experience and high-profile collaboration with artists like Boy George, she stands a strong chance of capturing the attention of audiences and critics alike. The contest remains a vital showcase for artists to represent their nations and display their talents on a global scale.
