The defense forces successfully eliminated Giorgi Veshapidze, who served in the Russian army. He previously worked in the social sector and engaged in coaching activities in the city of Surgut. Recently, he decided to join the Russian army and participated in the war against Ukraine, sustaining injuries.

Anastasia Tatalina, a Russian athlete, appealed to the International Ski and Snowboard Federation, requesting to be allowed to compete in the 2026 Olympic Games. She represents the CSKA military club, which is linked to Russia's military activities in the aggressive war against Ukraine.

As a result of defense operations, a Russian occupier was eliminated, and the Russian athlete appealed to the international federation to be allowed to compete in the Olympic games. Both events reflect the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine in both military and sports spheres.
