The heating season in our country is in full swing! Even with the onset of cold weather and actions from Russia that threaten our energy systems, heat is maintained almost everywhere. Special attention is paid to the regions near the front, where there is a high risk of damage.

Currently, centralized heating is operational in 96% of residential buildings across the country. And 98% of boiler houses are active — this is almost all that were ready before the start of the season.

Most social facilities are also receiving heat — over 98% of them are warmed, including 11,257 schools, 8,972 kindergartens, and 3,920 hospitals.

“We have entered a period of cold, so it is extremely important for all residents of Ukraine to have access to heat without delays. We actively manage this process together with local governments. Thanks to the preparations made in the summer and autumn, heating systems are functioning in all regions. The situation is slightly worse in the south, but there are favorable weather conditions. Special attention is focused on the frontline territories, where heat is provided under constant pressure from Russian attacks,” said Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine — Minister for Communities and Territories Development.

“Currently, we are ready to introduce more than 190 cogeneration units and 140 modular boiler houses, and work is still ongoing to connect them. Together with our partners, we are also working on alternative power sources for communities,” added Deputy Minister Konstantyn Kovalchuk.

Ukraine provides heat supply in all regions of the country, with special attention paid to areas near the front, where the situation is most complex. All preparations for the start of the heating season are practically at maximum, allowing delays in heat supply to be avoided. Similar measures need to be taken in the future to maintain stability in the energy and heating sectors.
