Official Mourning Period
Official mourning and farewell ceremonies for Ali Khamenei will begin in Tehran on July 4. Additional ceremonies are scheduled in the city of Qom on July 7, and the supreme leader’s burial will take place in Mashhad on July 9. The attack involved 30 bombs dropped on the complex where Khamenei was located, forming part of the operation that led to his death.
