The government has submitted a bill on criminal liability for conscripts abroad
According to hvylya.net: The Ukrainian government is making changes to the legislation regarding the responsibility of conscripts and reservists for violating the established period of stay abroad. According to the proposed bill, individuals who violate the duration of stay abroad during martial law will be subject to criminal liability. They face fines or imprisonment.
The government also proposes to strengthen responsibility for illegal border crossings and to introduce fines for crossing the border with incorrect documents. Penalties for violations will include fines or imprisonment. However, there is an opportunity to avoid criminal prosecution by voluntarily returning to Ukraine and reporting the violation.
These government steps are aimed at increasing discipline and responsibility among conscripts and reservists, as well as strengthening control over border crossings. This may help prevent unauthorized actions and ensure the country's security amid the escalation of the international situation.
