Fines, confiscation, and imprisonment: what awaits violators of fishing rules
Illegal fishing continues to pose a serious threat to the ecology and economy of Ukraine. Violations of fishing rules lead to the depletion of fish stocks, disruption of the natural balance in water bodies, and cause multi-million losses to the state. According to Ukrainian legislation, illegal extraction of aquatic biological resources is subject to administrative and criminal liability, as well as mandatory compensation for damages caused. This was reported by 'Glavkom' citing the State Agency of Fisheries.

Experts urge citizens to observe fishing rules and care for the preservation of water resources.
In June of last year, 98 people died in the water bodies of Ukraine, including eight children, 'Glavkom' reports citing the information from the State Emergency Service.
Ukraine continues the fight against illegal fishing, establishing fines for violations of legislation in this area. Additionally, it is important to adhere to the established rules to preserve water resources and prevent the death of people in water. According to the State Emergency Service, water disasters can have serious consequences, so it is necessary to follow safety rules during fishing and relaxation by water bodies.
