Voluntary Pension Contributions for Parents: Who Can Join Now

Decision of the Pension Fund of Ukraine on increasing insurance record
Додаткові внески на пенсію для батьків: можливості для нових учасників зараз.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has explained how parents receiving social benefits for their children can participate in the voluntary pension insurance system. The main condition is the absence of pensioner status and inclusion of the individual in the category of insured persons.

Anyone who is not a pensioner and is not excluded from the register of insured persons in the State Register of Social Insurance can make voluntary contributions.

For example, a mother receiving a survivor's pension for the benefit of her child can make voluntary contributions on her own behalf. In this case, she acts as the legal representative of the child, but remains a non-pensioner, the Pension Fund noted.

Building Your Own Insurance Record

The Pension Fund emphasized that voluntary pension contributions allow for official participation in the insurance system and the formation of one's own insurance record for future pensions.

Voluntary participation of parents in the pension insurance system can be an important step in ensuring financial security and enhancing their social protection.
