Behind-the-Scenes Turmoil: Tom Hardy’s Conflicts on MobLand

According to РБК-Україна — Lite: Tom Hardy has exited the crime drama MobLand amid reported conflicts-particularly with producer Jez Butterworth-and serious health concerns. The actor, who played fixer Harry Da Souza, underwent two knee surgeries and suffers from a herniated disc, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, and a pulled hamstring. As of now, neither Paramount+ nor Hardy’s representatives have officially confirmed his departure.

On-Set Disruptions and Creative Tensions

During production of MobLand’s second season, Hardy frequently arrived late, frustrating the crew. He also insisted on rewriting his lines and submitted script changes without consulting the team. Additionally, he expressed dissatisfaction that the storyline centered on characters played by Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. These issues led producers to decide against including him in a potential third season.

This isn’t Hardy’s first brush with on-set friction. During the 2015 filming of Mad Max: Fury Road, he clashed with Charlize Theron over his chronic lateness. Insiders confirm the studio has made a final decision to exclude him from MobLand’s third season. Hardy himself acknowledged that

“years of grueling shoots, dangerous stunts, and physical transformations have taken their toll,”

adding that his body has “literally started falling apart.”

The situation surrounding Tom Hardy and MobLand highlights the real challenges actors face when balancing physical demands with professional expectations. His absence from a third season could significantly alter the show’s narrative and dynamic, as his character played a key role in earlier episodes. It also raises questions about Hardy’s future projects, given his ongoing health struggles and history of on-set disputes.
