According to ХВИЛЯ: Ukraine demonstrated resilience in external trade with a total trade volume of $125.1 billion by the end of 2025. The import of goods this year amounted to $84.8 billion, while exports accounted for $40.3 billion. Thus, the country continues to actively participate in international trade despite challenges.
Main Indicators of External Trade
According to the data, 76% of imports, amounting to $64.3 billion, were officially taxed. The tax burden on each kilogram of imported goods was $0.52. The largest suppliers of goods to Ukraine were:
- China with an import volume of $19.2 billion
- Poland - $7.9 billion
- Germany - $6.6 billion
The main categories of imports included:
- Transport and equipment - $34.1 billion
- Fuel and energy goods - $10.5 billion
- Chemicals - $12.5 billion
At the same time, Ukrainian exports also demonstrated significant figures. The largest export markets included:
- Poland, where goods worth $5.0 billion were sold
- Turkey - $2.7 billion
- Germany - $2.4 billion
The export of food products amounted to $22.5 billion, metals - $4.7 billion, and machinery products - $3.6 billion. The state treasury received over 1.5 billion UAH from customs clearance of goods with export duties.
