According to glavcom.ua: According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of shopping tourists reached 1.855 million in the first half of 2025, which is 7% more than in 2024. At the same time, the number of medical tourists decreased to 733 thousand (-68 thousand).
With the increase in the purchasing power of foreign tourists due to the devaluation of the Turkish lira and declining inflation, shopping tourism in Turkey has become increasingly popular.
Against this backdrop, both Istanbul Airport and Antalya Airport also recorded record passenger traffic, indicating an overall positive trend in the development of tourism in the country.
