Two trains collided in the Czech Republic: dozens injured due to running a red light
An accident occurred in southern Czech Republic - two passenger trains collided. The incident resulted in injuries to over 40 people. The event took place between Zliv and Divcice around 06:19 local time. One of the trains was moving in one direction, while the other was heading in the opposite direction.
Five of the injured with serious injuries were taken to the hospital, while another 40 sustained minor injuries. Police believe the accident happened because one of the trains ran a red light. An investigation has been initiated.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk reported that two Ukrainians are suspected of committing sabotage on the railway in Poland near the village of Zyczyn in the Mazovian Voivodeship. This caused a halt to traffic on the Warsaw-Lublin route. According to the Prime Minister, such actions are a serious act of sabotage aimed at the safety of the Polish state and its citizens.
As a result of the accident in southern Czech Republic, over 40 people were injured. In Poland, two Ukrainians suspected of sabotage on the railway have been detained.
