A decision was made in Mykolaiv regarding the increase in the cost of travel in public transport. The new tariffs will take effect at the end of April for minibuses and buses, and at the beginning of May — for electric transport. This is reported by MykVisti.

Fare in Mykolaiv: New Prices from April

The executive committee of the city council approved the increase on April 22. The main reason cited was the rise in the cost of fuel, spare parts, materials, and the increase in the minimum wage.

From April 27, the cost of travel will change:

  • for minibuses up to 10 km — 18 UAH;

  • over 10 km — 20 UAH;

  • to the Varvarivka district — 20 UAH;

  • to the Matviyivka district — 25 UAH;

  • to the Velyka Korenyha district — 25 UAH;

  • to the Mala Korenyha district — 30 UAH.

In municipal buses of KP 'Mykolaivpastrans', the fare will be 20 UAH.

Students in grades 1-12 will pay 50% of the fare during the school year with a student ID. Free travel for them is maintained in municipal buses during martial law.

Cost of Electric Transport: What Will Change in May

From May 4, the increase will affect trams and trolleybuses. The new tariffs will depend on the type of ticket.

Basic prices:

  • single ticket — 15 UAH;

  • through QR code — 12 UAH;

  • for students single — 8 UAH.

Travel passes:

  • 1 day — 40 UAH;

  • 2 days — 75 UAH;

  • week — 150 UAH (separate) or 225 UAH (together);

  • 15 days — 285 UAH (separate) or 430 UAH (together);

  • month — 540 UAH (separate) or 810 UAH (together).

For students, a monthly pass will cost 270 UAH (separate) or 405 UAH (together).

The fine for traveling without a ticket is set at 300 UAH.

Previously, the fare in electric transport was 10 UAH, in municipal buses — 15 UAH, and in minibuses — 15-20 UAH. On average, the increase was about 33%.

Recall that on the night of April 20, Mykolaiv became the target of an attack by Russian drones, which caused significant destruction and injuries.
