Відкриття п’ятої черги житлового комплексу Хансена, присвяченого евакуйованим та ветеранам, стало важливою подією для громади поблизу Києва.

Today, December 1, the fifth phase of Hansen's Town was opened near Kyiv — a new space for people who lost their homes due to the war. On this day, a building for 16 families evacuated from combat zones, a dormitory for 40 elderly people, and a recovery shelter for women who returned from captivity were put into operation.

Director of the fund Natalia Zubchenko emphasized that the construction lasted only 300 days thanks to the joint efforts of Ukrainian and American teams led by philanthropist Dell Loy Hansen. Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity Denis Ulyutin emphasized that Hansen's Town is an example of how charity can help people restore their dignity after the war.

Dell Loy Hansen: 'If we can save at least one child or family here — that is already happiness.'

Currently, 1640 people live in Hansen's Town. Housing is provided free of charge in fully furnished two- and three-room apartments and duplexes. The area is inclusive and safe, featuring 12 shelters, a school, a hospital, and a kindergarten.

This important opening reinforces the significance of humanitarian aid for people affected by the war, demonstrating an example of successful cooperation between Ukrainian and American partners in restoring dignity and comfort for evacuees and those affected.
