The popular trolleybus route has been relaunched in Zaporizhzhia
Starting from July 9, trolleybus route No. 2, which connects the Khortytsia district with the Right Bank, is back in operation in Zaporizhzhia. This is the first time the route has been restored since the beginning of the full-scale war, and it will be served by trolleybuses with autonomous driving capabilities. This was reported by the Zaporizhzhia City Council.
Trolleybus No. 2 in Zaporizhzhia resumed operations on July 9
Today, trolleybus No. 2 "Panas Myrnyi Street - Furniture Store" has gone into service. It connects the Borodynskyi microdistrict in the Dnipro district with the Khortytsia district.
Trolleybuses with autonomous driving capabilities are used for servicing the route. This allows the transport to cover sections where there is no contact network without changing the route.
Previously, this route was canceled after the onset of the full-scale invasion of Russia. Before the trolleybus returned, test rides were conducted in the city and the infrastructure was checked for readiness.
