SBU Drone Strike Halts Production at Crimea Titanium Plant in Armyansk
Strike on the Crimea Titanium Facility
According to ХВИЛЯ: On the night of June 13, drones operated by the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) struck the Crimea Titanium plant in Armyansk, located on the temporarily occupied peninsula. The attack triggered a fire at the site, forcing a complete shutdown of operations. USF Commander Robert "Madjar" Brovdi stated,
“Objective control has confirmed the damage. The fire is raging. Production has been suspended.”
Economic Fallout
The Crimea Titanium plant is currently under the control of the Russian company Russian Titan. Witnesses reported approximately 23 impacts on the facility, which damaged multiple workshops. Personnel present at the site were evacuated. Brovdi added,
“There will be more to come. Crimea is never yours.”
This strike could have major economic repercussions for the region, as the plant is a key producer of titanium products. The halt in output may disrupt supply chains and influence market pricing. At the same time, the USF's actions signal an intensification of military efforts aimed at tightening control over occupied territories and disrupting the operations of hostile enterprises.
The recent drone strike at the Crimea Titanium plant adds to the growing concerns over industrial safety in the region. Just days earlier, a similar incident occurred at another facility, where a significant fire broke out, highlighting the ongoing risks faced by these enterprises in occupied territories.
