Українські сили завдали потужного удару по стратегічним об'єктам в Росії вночі.

Ukraine's Defense Forces Hit Targets Inside Russia

According to Главком: In a series of overnight operations on June 12, Ukraine's defense forces struck several key facilities within Russian territory. The attacks hit two oil refineries in Tatarstan and an industrial plant in Tolyatti, with fires confirmed at each site, indicating substantial damage.

Specifically, Ukrainian units targeted the Taneco and TAIF-NK refineries in Nizhnekamsk, both located in the Republic of Tatarstan. Fires were reported at both facilities. Additionally, the Tolyattikauchuk plant in the Samara region-a producer of synthetic rubbers, monomers, fractions, and high-octane gasoline additives-was also struck, with fires breaking out on its premises.

Command Posts and Other Military Targets Hit

During these operations, Ukrainian forces also attacked enemy command observation posts near Obesty and Iskra in the Kursk region, as well as near Marynsky in the Kherson region. Other targets included:

  • enemy command centers at Voskresenka and Pokrovsk;
  • a communication hub near Vesele in the Donetsk region;
  • a concentration of enemy personnel at the Vostochny training ground in Novopetrivka, Zaporizhzhia region;
  • a field artillery depot in Rybyantseve, Luhansk region;
  • a logistics warehouse in Mariupol, Donetsk region.

Further analysis of the June 10 strike on the Kuibyshev oil refinery in the Samara region has confirmed hits on its primary oil processing units AVT-4 and AVT-5, as well as an RVS-2000 storage tank. As a result, the Kuibyshev refinery has ceased operations.

On the night of June 12, drones reached the Samara region and attacked the Tolyattikauchuk chemical plant. The following morning, drones also struck Nizhnekamsk. In response to these events, Russia canceled its traditional large-scale concert on Red Square, scheduled for June 12 to mark Russia Day. This marks the first cancellation of such festivities at Red Square since 2003.

These strikes highlight an escalation in the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, potentially signaling a new phase in military operations. Targeting critical infrastructure like oil refineries carries both military and economic implications, affecting resource supply chains. The cancellation of public celebrations in Russia further underscores how the war is impacting the country's domestic affairs.

In light of these recent strikes, it is important to examine the broader impact of Ukraine's drone operations on critical infrastructure within Russia. For instance, a similar incident occurred when drones targeted a chemical facility in Tolyatti and another plant in Cheboksary, highlighting the ongoing threat to strategic sites.
