The volume of Ukrainian deposits is increasing
Українці накопили рекордні суми на своїх рахунках: динаміка депозитів за останні роки.

Status of Ukrainian deposits as of November 1, 2025

As of November 1, 2025, Ukrainians have over one and a half trillion hryvnias in their bank accounts, of which 1,534.8 billion hryvnias are deposits of individuals and individual entrepreneurs (FOPs). According to the data, the total amount of deposits has increased by 19.4 billion hryvnias compared to the previous month.

At the beginning of November 2025, deposits in hryvnias amounted to 1,010.2 billion hryvnias, while deposits in foreign currency reached 524.6 billion hryvnias. It is worth noting that individual entrepreneurs make up only 3.1% of the total number of depositors, but hold 11.5% of all funds in accounts.

Structure of deposits and guarantees

Interestingly, over 41% of depositors have less than 10 hryvnias in their accounts. Only 0.6% of depositors hold more than 600,000 hryvnias, but their accounts concentrate 51% of all funds. Meanwhile, 56.89% of Ukrainians save from 10 to 200 thousand hryvnias, accounting for 27.54% of the total deposit amount.

According to the data, 70.24% of deposits are demand funds. It is important to note that since April 13, 2022, 100% guarantees on deposits have been in effect in Ukraine during martial law. After the end of martial law, the maximum amount of compensation will be 600,000 hryvnias. All 60 banks in Ukraine participate in the Deposit Guarantee Fund, emphasizing the importance of protecting depositors' funds during this difficult time.

Data on Ukrainian deposits indicate a certain stability in the country's financial system, despite the challenges related to the war.

The presence of a 100% guarantee on deposits ensures trust in the banking system, which is critically important for supporting the economy during instability. The growth of deposits, especially under martial law, may indicate that Ukrainians seek to preserve their savings and look for safe ways to store them. This may also reflect a general trend towards financial prudence and planning among the population.
