Ukrainians in Poland: 40% of migrants are changing professions, but there are exceptions
Changing the field of activity of Ukrainian migrants in Poland
According to recent data, Ukrainians who have moved to Poland often change their field of activity. Thus, 40% of migrants find jobs in other sectors. Most of them are employed in labor-intensive sectors where the demand for labor remains high. At the same time, 25% of Ukrainians find vacancies in their profession.
Before moving, 24% of Ukrainian migrants were not economically active, which may indicate the need for adaptation to new living conditions. Among those who work in Poland, 80% are employed in labor-intensive sectors. In particular:
- 19.8% work in administrative and support services;
- 19.1% - in industrial processing;
- 13.5% - in construction;
- 12.1% - in transport and logistics;
- 9.2% - in trade;
- 6.6% - in the hotel and restaurant business.
Preserving qualifications and adaptation
It is worth noting that in specialized niches, such as IT, medicine, education, and finance, about 50% of Ukrainians remain in their profession, indicating the preservation of qualifications and experience. These data highlight the diversity of professional paths of Ukrainian migrants in Poland and their ability to adapt to new working conditions.
This information illustrates the complex situation of Ukrainian migrants who, despite difficulties, managed to find their place in the new labor market.
Adapting to new conditions and changing fields of activity may indicate their flexibility and desire for self-realization in new circumstances. At the same time, maintaining professional activity in specialized fields underscores the importance of qualifications and experience for migrants, which may be a crucial factor for their further integration into Polish society.
