The Ukrainian center in Ireland was forced to close its doors due to the Red Cross's decision to stop funding. Ukraine's ambassador to Ireland, Larysa Gerasko, noted that this center was very important for the Ukrainian community.
“There are various Ukrainian organizations here in Ireland that unite youth and middle-aged people. Unfortunately, today I will be going to the closure of the Ukrainian center. The reason is that the Irish Red Cross has stopped allocating funds for its maintenance. This is an unpleasant situation for us,” Gerasko explained.
Despite this, there are dozens of Ukrainian organizations operating in Ireland that work on supporting and developing the Ukrainian community in the country. The Association of Ukrainians in the Republic of Ireland, Ukrainian Action in Ireland, and other charitable organizations are actively working, providing support to Ukrainian schools and collaborating in every county of the country.
