A wave of heat covers Ukraine: temperatures up to +40°C expected in the south
Abnormal heat expected in Ukraine
According to glavcom.ua: In the coming days, abnormal heat will cover Ukraine, especially in the south, where temperatures may reach +40°C. This was warned by the famous meteorologist Natalka Didenko, reports 'Glavkom'.
Temperature forecast by regions
- South: +34...+39°C, locally up to +40°C.
- East: +30...+35°C.
- Central part: +30...+35°C, in Vinnytsia region +28...+30°C.
- North: +27...+32°C.
- West: +24...+29°C.
On Sunday, July 27, short-term thunderstorms are expected in the western regions, in Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and locally in Odesa and Cherkasy regions. In the rest of Ukraine, dry weather will persist.
Forecast for Kyiv
In Kyiv, no precipitation is expected on July 27, with daytime temperatures rising to +30°C. Specifically hot weather is predicted for Monday and Tuesday, when the air temperature will be +31...+34°C. Despite possible local thunderstorms, high humidity will only increase synoptic discomfort. Natalka Didenko recommends avoiding prolonged stays outdoors during these hot days.
Expected weakening of heat
It is expected that the heat will weaken on July 30, except for the Left Bank of Ukraine, where it will remain. However, already on July 31, noticeable freshness will come to Ukraine, and the strong heat will retreat from the south and east of the country.
