In Poland, the procurement sector is experiencing a boom: salaries for specialists have increased by 10% over the year, surpassing the IT sector with its 1% growth. Demand is rapidly increasing in international companies. This is reported by inpoland.net.pl.

Why the procurement sector in Poland is experiencing a boom

Research by Antal, Sodexo, and the Polish Logistics and Procurement Managers Association indicates optimism: 72% of experts see positive prospects, 26% – “very good”. The driver is the expansion of shared service centers (SSCs), where procurement professionals optimize costs.

According to Deloitte, Poland leads with over 1600 such centers. One third of managers oversee budgets exceeding 50 million zlotys, evolving the role to a strategic one. A 10% growth in supply chains reflects investments in personnel despite inflation and crises.

Monika Drozdjak, director of Sodexo Polska, notes:

“This is a boom of operational offices of large firms in Poland”

IT is lagging behind due to saturation, while procurement offers stability and growth – from junior to top positions with billion-dollar contracts. For Ukrainians – an opportunity to earn a salary of 8000-12000 zlotys with bonuses, without technical skills, only analytics and logistics.

Forecasts for the future are even more attractive: demand for procurement professionals will grow due to the digitalization of processes and a focus on sustainable development. Major players like Amazon and Siemens are already expanding offices in Warsaw and Krakow, creating thousands of job vacancies.

For Ukraine, this means new opportunities for migrants: the average salary for a procurement specialist is 8000-12000 zlotys, with bonuses for KPI. But competition is intensifying, so investments in certifications (such as CIPS) will be the key to success. The procurement sector in Poland has evolved since the 2010s. Antal's research records a trend: since 2020, the number of job vacancies has increased by 40%, and salaries – by 25% overall. IT, despite the hype, is facing burnout and outsourcing, while procurement is a stable sector for mid-term careers.
