The Netherlands changed the reception location for Ukrainians to IND
The Netherlands has implemented important changes for Ukrainians under the Temporary Protection Directive. The Immigration and Naturalization Service center, where status is confirmed, documents are processed, and checks are conducted, no longer operates at the old address in Amsterdam. Reception of Ukrainians in the Netherlands: new IND location
From now on, all Ukrainians who have or are applying for temporary protection are received in the city of Utrecht. That is where you need to go for scheduled meetings with the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
The new address of the center is: Atoomweg 100, 3542 AB UtrechtThe reception at the previous office ended in late November 2025. After this date, all procedures will be conducted exclusively in Utrecht, so trips to the old address no longer make sense.
Temporary protection in the Netherlands: what issues are resolved in Utrecht
The new center has become the main point for administrative procedures related to the stay of Ukrainians in the country. In particular, here:
-
It verifies whether a person falls under the Temporary Protection;
-
It issues or extends residence rights confirmation;
-
It issues documents – a sticker or a separate identification card;
-
It conducts other related administrative actions.
Ukrainians are advised to carefully check letters from IND before traveling. Most notifications already indicate the new address, but an additional check will help avoid misunderstandings and unnecessary time loss.
The Immigration and Naturalization Service plays a key role in legalizing residence. It confirms the right to reside, work, and access social support guaranteed by the Temporary Protection Directive.
Let us remind you that the Netherlands provided Ukraine with a defense package worth 700 million euros.
