Deputy Prime Minister Oleksii Kubelka visited the Kharkiv region to review measures for the physical protection of critical infrastructure, as the region has become a target of constant Russian attacks. Despite the threat, there are over 2 million residents in the region who need reliable access to vital resources.
At the same time, the Ministry of Community Development is working to reduce dependence on centralized energy networks by launching decentralized energy generation projects. Simplifying the procedures for installing cogeneration units will allow a significant number of new facilities to connect to the system, easing the lives of local utility companies and social institutions.
These measures are aimed at increasing energy resilience in frontline regions, particularly in Kharkiv. A priority remains supporting communities living under high risk, especially during the winter period.
