Pensioners from occupied territories: who does not need to undergo re-identification in 2025

Pension payments may stop: key condition
Пенсіонери з тимчасово окупованих регіонів: які категорії не підлягають повторному підтвердженню у 2025 році.

Pensioners from the occupied territories of Ukraine do not need to undergo identification again if they have already done so in January 2025. This important information was announced by the Pension Fund of Ukraine.

According to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated February 11, 2025, No. 299, individuals who temporarily reside outside of Ukraine or in temporarily occupied territories must undergo physical identification by December 31 of each calendar year to continue receiving their pension. If identification via video conferencing has already been conducted in 2025 and the recipient's identity has been established, re-identification is not required.

The Pension Fund of Ukraine will also start recalculating subsidies from October 1 for the new heating season. Most recipients of this aid will receive it automatically, but some individuals will need to submit a new application. Furthermore, Ukrainians are advised to digitize their labor books by June 10, 2026, to avoid losing pension payments. This can be done through the Pension Fund of Ukraine's electronic services portal or through an employer.

In particular, the government has simplified the procedure for confirming work experience acquired during the times of the Soviet Union. This will help pensioners receive their deserved pension payments without unnecessary obstacles.
