Porsche and Tesla

In Germany, Porsche and Tesla owners lead in the number of penalty points, but surprisingly, 'calm' family models like Volvo and Skoda Octavia also ended up in the anti-rating. Research shows: the type of car affects driving style. About this writes Interia.

Fines from drivers: Porsche and Tesla in the lead

Analysts from the Verivox portal analyzed insurance of 30 popular brands in Germany over two years, revealing a clear link between the model and traffic violations. Porsche owners accumulate 65% more points than the average driver, especially in Stuttgart – the brand's hometown, where sports cars ignore signs and speed.

Tesla is not far behind: electric cars provoke aggressive driving due to their power. Meanwhile, family models shocked: their owners often speed or park wherever they please, despite their reputation for being 'safe'.

Top 5 car brands with the most fines

  1. Porsche (65% more points, leader in speeding);

  2. Tesla (electric power provokes violations);

  3. Volvo (family 'tank' does not restrain risks);

  4. Toyota Auris (station wagon, but drivers like to 'speed');

  5. Skoda Octavia (budget hatchback in the risk zone).

Which cars will drivers get the least fines for

These data were a surprise: sports cars logically top the list, but family cars break stereotypes about careful driving. On the contrary, the most disciplined are Honda, Kia, Suzuki, with models Mazda CX-5 and Honda Jazz leading: their owners are rarely captured by cameras, likely due to a practical style and less power.

In Ukraine, luxury Porsche or Tesla on the roads of Kyiv or Lviv also attract the attention of patrols, while family Skoda often receives fines for parking. According to 'ePidytrmka', in 2024, fines for speeding have increased by 20%, and owners of imported cars pay twice as much.
