The mechanisms for the transfer of evidence of Russia's aggression to the Tribunal have been defined: what does this mean

According to hvylya.net: Another way of cooperation is the interaction with Eurojust, particularly the CICED system - an electronic database of evidence of international crimes. All verified evidence with a reliable chain of custody can be transferred to the tribunal if there is a proper legal basis and the consent of the country that submitted them.

The prosecutor of Ukraine for Eurojust, Myroslava Krasnoborova, stated that the mechanisms for the transfer of evidence of Russia's aggression from Ukraine to the Special Tribunal are defined in the Statute. According to Article 23 of the Statute, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine will have the right to transfer materials of criminal proceedings collected within the framework of the national investigation of the crime of aggression to the tribunal.

'We are already working on possible legal and technical mechanisms for this process,' Krasnoborova emphasized.

A representative of the prosecutor's office spoke about the process of transferring evidence of Russia's aggression to the Special Tribunal. According to the statute, the Prosecutor General of Ukraine will have the right to transfer materials of criminal proceedings to the tribunal. Additionally, collaboration through the electronic database system for the transfer of verified evidence of international crimes is possible. All these processes are already actively being discussed and studied for further implementation.
