The organization used vehicles intended for the military for personal enrichment

According to glavcom.ua: The head of a charity organization, being a volunteer, imported vehicles from abroad under the guise of aiding the troops of the National Guard, but actually organized their sale for personal gain. This was reported by the police of the Dnipropetrovsk region, according to 'Glavkom'.

By moving vehicles across the border with the involvement of women disguised as humanitarian cargo, the individual from the organization attracted buyers. His partner advertised the sale on social media and showed potential buyers the vehicles. Thus, during one of these meetings, they offered the National Guard troops to buy 4 cars for 20 thousand dollars.

During the money transfer, the wrongdoers were detained by law enforcement agencies. They seized cash, bank cards, a mobile phone, and documents for the vehicles.

Number of vehicles that were seized

A total of 28 vehicles were seized, which had been imported into Ukraine as humanitarian aid. Laptops, correspondences, vehicle documents, and other materials related to military transport movements were also found.

The suspects were charged under the article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine that provides for imprisonment of five to seven years for the illegal use of humanitarian aid under martial law for the purpose of obtaining significant profits. A petition for their detention was also filed.

It is reported that the government has regulated the registration issue of vehicles that were imported into the country as humanitarian aid through a simplified procedure.

Moreover, it was found that residents of Cherkasy created a fake Telegram channel, posing as a well-known person and collecting funds for the needs of the Ukrainian army.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the leadership of the charity organization used the vehicles proposed as assistance to the military to create a scheme for enrichment. They imported and sold vehicles for their own benefit, which led to the detention of wrongdoers and confiscation of vehicles.
