Winter 2025-2026 will be abnormally cold: meteorologists' forecast for Ukraine
According to glavcom.ua: The forecast for the winter of 2025-2026 promises us an extremely cold season. According to MkWeather analysts, Ukraine can expect Arctic cold and a large amount of precipitation. December will be humid and mild, but January and February will bring true winter chill with frosts and snowfall. The situation may be particularly severe in the east and center of the country, where a stable snow cover may form.
One of the key factors that could intensify frosts in Eastern Europe is the increased level of snow cover in Siberia. This could lead to an increase in the eastern flow of cold air to Ukraine and neighboring countries, creating conditions for prolonged cold waves in January-February.
Despite the seriousness of the forecasts, experts emphasize that MkWeather is not an official meteorological service, and their forecasts may differ from the actual weather. The final forecast will be provided by official meteorologists later.
The forecast for the winter of 2025-2026 predicts extremely cold weather in the upcoming season, with Arctic cold and significant snowfall. Experts advise being prepared for harsh conditions, especially in January and February, but at the same time warn that only the official meteorological service will provide the final forecast.
