Ukrainian Forces Target Kuban Oil Terminal and Crimean Air Defenses in Night Strikes
Strikes on Russian Strategic Targets
According to Главком: Ukraine's General Staff has confirmed attacks on strategic targets within the Russian Federation during the night of February 15, 2026. These operations are part of a broader Ukrainian strategy to degrade Russian military and logistical capabilities deep behind the front lines. The strikes successfully hit an oil terminal in the Kuban region and an air defense system in occupied Crimea.
In the Volna settlement of Russia's Krasnodar Krai, a terminal operated by the 'Tamanniyeftegaz' company was struck. This facility is a key node for oil and gas supply, and damaging it could impact regional energy security. Separately, near the village of Kacha in Crimea, a Russian 'Pantsir-S1' anti-aircraft missile and artillery system was hit. Each such system is valued at approximately $15 million, underscoring the significant blow to Russia's military infrastructure.
Additional Strategic Targets Hit
The military report also detailed strikes on other strategic targets in Crimea, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk oblasts on February 12 and 13, 2026. Specifically:
- In the Vilyne area of temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast, a repair unit of a Russian artillery brigade was struck.
- In the Lyubymivka area of temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a concentration of enemy personnel was targeted.
These coordinated attacks demonstrate the Ukrainian military's sustained activity in targeting enemy military assets, which could shape the course of future combat operations in the region.
Military infrastructure and energy facilities are critically important for sustaining an adversary's combat capabilities. Strikes on such targets can seriously weaken Russia's ability to conduct warfare and also impact its economy.
Given the current situation, the future actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are likely to continue this course, aiming to reduce threats to Ukraine's national security.
