Meeting of the leaders of the 'Coalition of the Willing' in Paris
According to Главком: On January 6, 2025, a meeting of the leaders of the 'Coalition of the Willing', countries supporting Ukraine in its war against Russia, will take place in Paris, attended by President Volodymyr Zelensky. This meeting will be an important event as it will be the first in-person gathering of the 'Coalition of the Determined' since March 27, 2025.
The session of the 'Coalition of the Willing' is scheduled for 16:10 Kyiv time. It is expected that 27 participants of the 'Coalition of the Determined' at the level of heads of state and government will be present in Paris. In total, representatives from 35 states and international organizations are expected. As part of the meeting, a joint press conference with President Zelensky and the leaders of the E3 format will take place around 18:15.
Security Guarantees in Ukraine
Security guarantees in Ukraine and the conditions for their implementation were the focus of discussions during a videoconference with the chiefs of the general staffs of the armed forces of the Coalition of the Willing, as reported by Fabien Mandon. Among the participants expected at the meeting will be:
- Ursula von der Leyen – President of the European Commission
- António Costa – President of the European Council
- Mark Rutte – Secretary General of NATO
- Alexus Grinkevich – General of the US Air Force, Supreme Commander of the United Armed Forces of NATO in Europe
- Kaja Kallas – High Representative of the EU
This meeting is an important step in strengthening international support for Ukraine and discussing security issues in the context of ongoing aggression from Russia.
The holding of the meeting in Paris underscores the growing importance of the coalition in ensuring security in Europe, as well as demonstrating the unity of the international community in supporting Ukraine.
