Олена Зеленська розповіла, яке питання під час інтерв'ю вводить її в ступор

The first lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, wrote in her essay for the Halifax Security Forum that if Ukraine stops resisting the Russian aggressor, the war will not stop but will spread worldwide. She emphasized that Russia's war against Ukraine is a war in the global world, an attack on international agreements and human rights, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

"Therefore, the question 'What do you think about people being tired of reading news about the war in Ukraine?' that I often hear in interviews with the international press confuses me. If Ukrainian soldiers, despite the fierce resistance of the enemy and the loss of their comrades, do not tire of liberating Ukrainian land, if Ukrainians, despite grief and tears, do not tire of defending their children and their future, then how can people in a safe country get tired of scrolling through the news feed? And if Ukraine 'gets tired', the war will not stop. It will simply continue," emphasized Olena Zelenska.

  • The Halifax Forum
  • The Halifax Forum, founded in 2009, is a flagship forum for international security in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It is known as the world's largest security conference for democratic countries. The annual forum attracts the attention of many high-ranking officials, including senior military officers, government officials, members of the US Senate, world leaders in the field, as well as leading journalists, strategists, and human rights defenders from all over the world.

The first lady compared the Russian invasion to global pollution or an epidemic - if not stopped in time, it can continue and spread to other countries.

"Another question that I am often asked is 'What does Ukraine want from the world, from other countries?' With deep gratitude to those who help us, I think it is time to change the focus of this question. Not 'what does Ukraine want?' but 'what does the world and each of its inhabitants want?' Does it want the aggressor to remain unpunished and continue? Does it want such a new world order? Because the empire will not stop. It needs to be stopped. And this is what Ukraine is doing now. So what do we want? We want everyone to know about it," concluded the first lady.

It is worth mentioning that Zelenska impressed with the symbolism of her outfit at the UNESCO conference (photo). For her emotional speech, the first lady chose a quite concise attire that was able to convey certain messages to everyone present in the hall. Zelenska wore a black midi skirt, a black turtleneck with a collar, and a very interesting gray jacket with dandelion patterns. She completed her look with black ankle boots, which she often chooses. Therefore, Olena's image turned out to be quite restrained, concise, and very symbolic.

The dandelion symbolizes the power of the sun and light, it is considered a flower of faithfulness, happiness, and joy, representing bright thoughts and childhood dreams. It is not surprising that the first lady chose a dandelion for the conference, as during her speech, she talked about the cultural heritage that Russian invaders have already destroyed.
