How public transport in Kyiv was changed due to the Russian attack

In Kyiv, following a massive Russian attack on the night of July 6, the routes of part of the public transport were temporarily changed. Due to the blockage of certain streets, buses and trolleybuses are running on altered routes, and there may be delays on one of the directions of the suburban train. This is reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.

Public transport in Kyiv: which routes changed on July 6

The KCSA reported that the changes are related to the clearing of the consequences of the Russian strike and the blockage of traffic in certain areas of the capital.

The following routes have been temporarily changed:

  • Trolleybuses No. 12 and No. 45 – operating to TRED-1 without stopping at the "Vasylkivska" metro station;

  • Bus No. 35 – the route is organized along Petar Hryhorenko Avenue and Anna Akhmatova Street;

  • Bus No. 53 – temporarily runs to Elektrykiv Street without entering the Rybalsky Peninsula.

City authorities are calling on passengers to take these changes into account when planning trips.

Kyiv suburban train and delays: where delays may occur

Kyiv suburban train continues to operate on its usual route, however, movement in the Fastiv direction is complicated.

According to Kyiv City Express, delays are also possible on the approach to the Kyiv-Volynskyi station.

Earlier, "Ukrzaliznytsia" reported that due to infrastructure damage and traffic restrictions in the Kyiv region, part of the trains is also running with delays.

Consequences of the attack on Kyiv on July 6

On the night of July 6, Russia carried out a combined strike on Ukraine using strike drones, ballistic and cruise missiles.

In Kyiv, hits and falling debris were recorded in several areas of the city. According to the latest official data, nine people died, and another 46 were injured.

In the Kyiv region, as a result of the attack, one person died, and 15 were injured. The situation remains most critical in Vyshneve, where a secondary detonation of explosive devices is ongoing.

 

Let us remind you that in the Darnytsia district of Kyiv, emergency rescue operations have been completed at the site of the hit on a 16-story residential building. As a result of the Russian attack on July 2, 31 people died, and 102 were injured.
