Why there are train delays
The cause of the delays is damage to the railway infrastructure due to Russian attacks, as well as the need for additional operations to ensure passenger safety.
To minimize the consequences, railway workers are using reserve locomotives, adjusting routes, and deploying additional technical resources. This allows them to maintain train movement even on damaged routes.
Despite the difficult situation, connections to Dnipro, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and other major cities remain available.
Ukrzaliznytsia continues to restore infrastructure
Specialists continue to work on eliminating the effects of the attacks and restoring damaged sections of tracks and contact networks.
Passengers are advised to regularly check the current status of their trains and closely monitor announcements at stations and on trains, as the timetable may change throughout the day.
It should be noted that Ukrzaliznytsia will switch to a renewed summer schedule starting June 28, which includes significant changes to the train schedule. In particular, railway workers have added 12 new routes, expedited three trains, and extended four routes to the mountains.
