Bus Incident in France
According to Главком: A bus crashed into the Seine River near Paris after colliding with a parked vehicle, authorities reported. The accident occurred in the town of Juvisy-sur-Orge, located roughly 20 kilometers southeast of the French capital. At the wheel was a trainee driver completing the final phase of her training, accompanied by an instructor and two passengers on board.
During the crash, the bus veered off the road and sank completely near a bridge, with the damaged car also ending up in the water. All four individuals inside the bus were rescued, and initial reports indicate they sustained no serious injuries. Dozens of emergency responders were deployed to the scene, utilizing boats, helicopters, and drones in the operation.
Investigation and Road Safety Concerns
Both the trainee driver and the instructor underwent screenings for alcohol and narcotics, which came back negative. Police have launched an investigation into what caused the accident.
“Instead of turning right, the bus went straight and dragged the car along with it,” said a witness to the incident.
Authorities are currently working to clarify the exact circumstances surrounding the event.
This incident highlights the critical importance of road safety, particularly during driver training. Cases where trainees under an instructor’s supervision are involved in accidents can raise concerns about the quality of training and oversight processes. The investigation into the crash’s causes will help identify potential gaps in the training curriculum and guide measures to address them.
