Fuel Prices in Ukraine as of June 2026
According to Главком: As of June 24, 2026, Ukraine has updated its fuel pricing. The average cost of A-95 gasoline now stands at 75.27 UAH per liter, while diesel fuel averages 79.46 UAH per liter. A fuel cashback program, active from March 20 to May 31, 2026, enabled 2.3 million Ukrainians to receive refunds: 15% on diesel, 10% on gasoline, and 5% on autogas. Ukraine now ranks among the top ten countries with the fastest diesel price increases, with diesel costs rising 33.9%.
According to Pavlo Kyrylenko, a key driver of these hikes is that after the shutdown of Ukraine's largest-and essentially only-oil refinery, over 85% of light petroleum products rely on imports.
“Between February 26 and March 31, diesel prices per Platts surged 86%, while import costs rose 58%. Over the same period, average Ukrainian gas station prices for gasoline climbed 16%, and diesel jumped 39%,” said Pavlo Kyrylenko.
Serhiy Kuyun stated there is no diesel shortage on the market and none is expected soon. He also noted that March supply volumes remained on par with the previous year.
Additional factors fueling price growth include:
- rising demand alongside shrinking supply and reserves
- higher actual procurement costs for petroleum products
- forecasts of further cost increases
- higher logistics expenses
The Antimonopoly Committee sees no monopolistic behavior in the fuel market.
The recent months' fuel price increases in Ukraine stem from several factors, notably the refinery shutdown and higher import costs. Since most fuel depends on imports, global market trends heavily influence domestic prices. Despite the upward trend, experts assure there will be no fuel shortage, which could help stabilize the market in the near future.
