According to ХВИЛЯ: Firewood prices remain an important issue for many Ukrainians, as this source of heat is particularly relevant during the winter period. Forecasts indicate that by the end of winter 2026, their cost may rise depending on the severity of weather conditions.
Currently, a cubic meter of hardwood, which includes oak, hornbeam, and beech, costs between 1800 and 2600 hryvnias. If the winter is mild, the price may rise to 1900–3000 hryvnias per cubic meter. In the case of harsh winter conditions, the cost may reach 2100–3200 hryvnias per cubic meter.
As for softwood and coniferous firewood such as pine, alder, and poplar, their price currently stands at around 1300 hryvnias per cubic meter. In a mild winter, the price for these types may rise to 1400–1450 hryvnias, while under harsh conditions, it could increase to 1450–1600 hryvnias per cubic meter.
