Head of the Migration Service in Khmelnytskyi Region Divorced Due to Declaration

Oleg Pankov, who heads the State Migration Service in Khmelnytskyi Region, ended his marriage due to a scandalous situation with his declaration. It all started in late April of this year when the court decided to terminate the marriage.

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption drew attention to false information in Pankov's declaration amounting to 27.8 million UAH. Thus, after a thorough review, it was revealed that he concealed his wife's assets and other significant details, which led to the divorce.

"In November 2023, the Pankov family, along with their children, vacationed in a luxury hotel in Lviv region."

In addition, the origin of the large sum of money reflected in the declaration did not convince the NACP, and therefore a criminal proceeding was initiated. They also reviewed the purchase of Audi cars by his wife from 2023, which raised law enforcement's suspicions.

Oleg Pankov has headed the State Migration Service in Khmelnytskyi Region since 2012. Currently, there is a noticeable decrease in the number of declarations submitted by officials of this service, which may indicate increased control over financial reporting in the state.

Events in Khmelnytskyi region, where the head of the migration service divorced due to financial difficulties, show that Ukrainian anti-corruption bodies are monitoring compliance with transparency and openness in state institutions.
