The format of the National Multi-Subject Test in 2026 will remain unchanged: Ministry of Education confirmed the rules
Format of the National Multi-Subject Test
The format of the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT) in 2026 will remain unchanged. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has confirmed that applicants will take tests in four subjects in one day. This decision is based on the success of the current format, which has demonstrated its effectiveness and transparency during several years of full-scale war.
It is worth noting that in 2025, higher educational institutions in Ukraine admitted 5% more applicants than in the previous year. This indicates a growing interest in higher education. In addition, lawmakers are expected to approve Draft Law No. 13650, which defines the specifics of the admission campaign for 2026 and the state final certification (DPA).
Mykola Trofymenko, a representative of the Ministry, noted: 'This format has proven its effectiveness and transparency over several years of full-scale war and provided equal conditions for admission for all higher education applicants.'
Importance of Stability in Higher Education
Thus, future applicants can be assured of stability and clarity in the admission process. The continuation of the NMT format in 2026 is an important step towards ensuring stability in higher education amid the war. This also emphasizes the growing interest of young people in obtaining higher education, which could positively impact the country's development in the future.
The importance of adopting Draft Law No. 13650 also indicates the need to adapt educational processes to new realities, which could improve the admission and certification system in Ukraine.
