Students on contract may receive grants of up to 25,000 UAH for tuition payments through 'Diia'
Contract students in Ukraine may receive grants of up to 25,000 UAH for tuition payments through the 'Diia' application based on the results of the NMT. The program covers part or all of the tuition costs in universities, depending on exam scores. This is reported by the 'Diia' portal.
Who can receive a grant for tuition payments through 'Diia'
The mechanism works simply: if an entrant in 2025 meets the criteria, the grant certificate will automatically appear in 'Diia' in the 'Documents' section.
The grant is allocated for the entire academic year and is transferred to the higher educational institution in two installments: by December 1 for the fall semester and by April 1 for the spring semester. The amount of aid depends on the results of the NMT from two subjects and the chosen specialty, encouraging high performance.
Here are the key grant levels:
-
From 150 points - over 17,000 UAH (basic level, with restrictions by specialties);
-
From 170 points - over 25,000 UAH (increased, broader access).
How to obtain a certificate for tuition payments
You need to update the 'Diia' application and check the 'Documents' section. The certificate must be confirmed by October 25, checking the data - full name, institution, amount, and specialty.
Then, you need to send a request via Diia.Signature, and a push notification will inform you of the result.
Restrictions for using the grant for tuition payments
The first-level grant (from 150 points) does not cover a number of popular fields due to funding priorities: business, economics, international relations, journalism, hotel and restaurant management, tourism, dentistry, and philology (except for Ukrainian, Crimean Tatar, and folklore). For other specialties, such as IT, engineering, or pedagogy, access is complete.
'Diia' ensures transparency: the university will receive funds directly, and the student will get a notification about the transfer. This digital solution eliminates paperwork, making the process fast and accessible even in remote regions.
Earlier, we reported that 'Diia' has launched basic social assistance.
