According to Главком: On the evening of June 22, a six-year-old boy became trapped by his leg in a metal structure at the bottom of the Uzynka River while swimming in the town of Uzyn, Kyiv region. Rescuers from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) arrived promptly at the scene. Using hydraulic equipment, specialists freed the child from the hazardous entrapment.
According to SES officials,
“with the help of hydraulic tools, SES specialists released the leg of the child, born in 2020, and extracted him from the dangerous trap.”

This case comes amid a series of water-related incidents. On June 21, a crowd was observed jumping into the water near the Venice Bridge, where sharp iron rebar fragments were later discovered on the riverbed, posing a risk to swimmers.
