The Return of Anatoly Kashpirovsky

According to Главком: Anatoly Kashpirovsky, the 86-year-old television hypnotist famed from the Soviet era, has resumed active work, conducting paid sessions in Russia and maintaining a social media presence. His career began in the USSR, later took him to the United States, but he ultimately returned to Russia. In 2024, Kashpirovsky restarted public sessions in Moscow, drawing a crowd of roughly 300 people to one of his first meetings. Tickets for these group sessions ranged from 3,500 to 9,000 rubles (approximately $38–$98 USD), while a private individual consultation cost 25,000 rubles (about $272 USD). Over just four days of performances in 2024, his earnings totaled around 6 million rubles (roughly $65,000 USD).

Personal Life and Activities

Anatoly Kashpirovsky was born on August 11, 1939, in the Khmelnytskyi region. He moved to the United States in the mid-1990s but eventually returned to Russia. Throughout his life, Kashpirovsky has been married three times:

  • His first wife was Valentina;
  • His second wife was Irina, whom he married in 1992;
  • His third wife is Gulizar Chalbashova, who is 20 years his junior, and whom he married at the age of 84.

From his first marriage, he had two children: a daughter, Elena, and a son, Sergei. His son Sergei became a boxer, while his daughter Elena dedicated herself to medicine. Tragically, it was reported in 2018 that Elena had died; his children from his first marriage currently reside in the United States.

Kashpirovsky has been running his own YouTube channel for a decade, sharing his experiences and methods. During his sessions, he promises 'non-surgical correction of a deviated septum, relief from varicose veins and allergies, and remote dental fillings.' At his events, merchandise such as 'magic' salt, signed photographs, books, and USB drives with session recordings are also sold. His schedule for 2026 already includes events at the State Kremlin Palace and the Moscow International House of Music, planned for March and April.

Thus, Anatoly Kashpirovsky continues his work in hypnosis, attracting new followers and offering his services in the modern world. He remains a prominent figure in the sphere of alternative medicine and hypnotherapy in Russia. His enduring popularity highlights a continued fascination with his unique brand of televised mass hypnosis, a phenomenon that captivated millions during the late Soviet period.

Anatoly Kashpirovsky's return to the public stage reflects a growing demand for alternative treatment methods in Russia, particularly amid ongoing social and economic changes. His sessions attract attention from both older generations and younger audiences, which may indicate a renewed interest in hypnosis and non-traditional medicine overall.
