Red Cross Denies Fake News About 2500 UAH Payments: How Not to Fall for Scammers

Red Cross Responds to Rumors
Червоний Хрест спростував неправдиву інформацію щодо виплат у 2500 гривень: Як уникнути шахрайських схем.

The Red Cross emphasized that the organization does not make any payments under the program mentioned online. They also added that those spreading such information are using outdated data. The program has long expired.

The Red Cross has denied the fake news that the organization will provide financial assistance of 2500 UAH to Ukrainians. This was also confirmed by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD), reports 'Glavkom'.
“Recently, the Russian Federation launched a new fake aimed at discrediting the Defense Forces. Propaganda resources are spreading a fabricated story about so-called 'Polish mercenaries' who 'use drugs that allow them not to sleep or eat for up to two weeks.' The only source of this information is the account of a man presented as a Russian soldier.”

'Glavkom' also reported on how Trump called the WSJ news about lifting restrictions on Ukraine's use of long-range missiles a fake. In a social media post, Trump characterized the publication as 'fake news' and emphasized that 'the USA has nothing to do with these missiles, wherever they come from, and whatever Ukraine does with them.'

Reports of financial assistance from the Red Cross in the amount of 2500 UAH for Ukrainians turned out to be fake, as did the information about 'Polish mercenaries' and missiles used by Ukraine. The dissemination of misinformation and fakes remains a pressing issue, and it is crucial to always verify information sources before sharing them.
