The National Cashback Program Continues: The Ministry of Economy Refuted Information About Closure
The National Cashback Program Continues
The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine has refuted the information about the possible termination of the 'National Cashback' program, stating that it continues to operate unchanged. The program, which started in September 2024, provides a 10% refund on the cost of goods produced in Ukraine. The maximum monthly cashback amount is 3000 hryvnias, and over 7.5 million Ukrainians are participants.
Program users have already received payments totaling more than 4 billion hryvnias. More than 1870 producers have joined the program, and cashback is available on about 400,000 products. The updated program rules came into effect on November 22. The Ministry noted that it did not prepare or consider any documents that would foresee the termination of the National Cashback in 2026. The information published in the media does not correspond to reality.
Participants' Expenditures
Participants in the program can spend their received funds on a variety of services, including:
- utility payments
- transportation
- medical services
- mobile communications
- education
- insurance
- purchase of medicines and books
According to PrivatBank, 45.1% of users spend cashback on topping up mobile communications, while 35.5% spend it on paying utility services. The 'National Cashback' program continues to be an important initiative for supporting Ukrainian producers and the economy as a whole.
The continuation of the 'National Cashback' program is an important step for stimulating domestic consumption and supporting national producers amidst economic challenges. Thanks to the cashback, Ukrainians receive additional financial incentives to purchase domestically produced goods, which can positively impact the development of local enterprises and overall economic growth. The support of the program also reflects the government's commitment to achieving stability in the economy and sustaining consumer demand in the country.
