The situation around Yuriy Kisiel

According to Главком: Member of Parliament Yuriy Kisiel, who is the deputy head of the 'Servant of the People' faction and the head of the parliamentary committee on transport and infrastructure, paid 8 million hryvnias into the deposit account of the High Anti-Corruption Court. This occurred in connection with his suspicion in a bribery case, for which the court chose a measure of restraint in the form of bail.

According to information, Kisiel transferred 3.3 million hryvnias on December 31, 2025, and on January 6, 2026 – 4.7 million hryvnias. According to the electronic declaration for 2024, Kisiel held 1.6 million hryvnias and 37 thousand euros in bank accounts, while in cash he had 60 thousand euros and 60 thousand US dollars. His wife Valentina also declared 1.6 million hryvnias and 2.2 thousand euros in bank accounts, and in cash – 400 thousand euros and 210 thousand dollars.

Preventive measures and corruption exposure

The Kisiel couple has 49.9 thousand euros, 34.5 thousand US dollars, and 8.5 thousand Czech crowns in a foreign bank. On December 30, 2025, the anti-corruption court chose a preventive measure for Yuriy Kisiel. On January 7, an appeal regarding Kisiel's case was submitted to the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

In total, the High Anti-Corruption Court applied preventive measures in the form of bail to five Members of Parliament of Ukraine. For two of them, the court set bail at 40 million hryvnias and 30 million hryvnias, for the other two – 20 million hryvnias each, and for the fifth MP – 16.6 million hryvnias. The court also imposed procedural obligations on all suspects, including wearing an electronic monitoring device.

The case involves Members of Parliament from the 'Servant of the People': Yevhen Pyvovarov, Ihor Negulevskyi, Olha Savchenko, Yuriy Kisiel, and Mykhailo Laba. On December 27, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) reported the exposure of an organized criminal group that included current members of Parliament.

The situation surrounding Yuriy Kisiel and other deputies from the 'Servant of the People' faction highlights the seriousness of corruption exposures in Ukraine. The high level of bail imposed by the court indicates that law enforcement agencies are actively fighting corruption at the highest level. These events could have significant consequences for the political party's image and the overall political situation in the country, as they undermine trust in the government and its representatives.
