Zoomers have become the unhappiest group in the world: what the research showed
New data found regarding the happiness of different age groups
Scientists from the USA and the UK have discovered that individuals aged 18 to 24, belonging to Generation Z (Zoomers), are considered the unhappiest group in 46 countries. The results of the research conducted at Dartmouth College (USA) and University College London contradict previous findings which indicated a decline in happiness around the age of 40.
Although the scientists could not identify a specific reason for Zoomers' dissatisfaction, they pointed out that many young people from this generation struggle with mental health issues, which negatively impact their happy life perspective.
Difference in happiness between generations
The research also showed that the happiest feelings are experienced by people aged 45 to 70, whose mental health, according to scientists, is significantly better than that of the youth. It is worth noting that Zoomers are rejecting traditional corporate culture, trying to find a balance between personal development and career growth.
Recently, it has also been noted that the popularity of 'point-and-shoot' cameras among Zoomers is rapidly increasing. Such data indicates new trends in both the work environment and the world of technology.
The conducted research showed that the young Generation Z is characterized by a lack of a happy life perspective, primarily due to mental health issues. At the same time, people aged 45 to 70 feel the most happiness, as their mental health is significantly better according to this research. It is also worth noting that Zoomers, in addition to rejecting corporate culture, are increasingly interested in 'point-and-shoot' cameras, indicating changes in their approach to work and technology.
