During the martial law in Ukraine, special rules regarding working hours and rest are in effect, as reported by the State Labor Service. At critical infrastructure sites, the workweek may be extended to 60 hours, with corresponding wage increases. Certain categories of workers, on the contrary, are given the option of a shorter workweek with increased pay. The work schedule at such sites is established by the employer.

At critical infrastructure sites, the workweek may be extended to 60 hours with an increase in salary. For some categories of workers, a shortened working time of 40 hours per week is established, while their pay also increases. The work schedule - the start and end of the shift - is determined by the employer.

There are also changes regarding employees' rest. The minimum duration of weekly rest has been shortened, work on weekends is not limited, and other restrictions have been lifted. The employer is responsible for delays in salary due to the martial law, however, such cases are considered violations of employees' rights.

In the future, Ukrainians have been prohibited from simultaneously receiving a pension and a salary.
